  • Looking on the brightside

Garston primary school children worked to transform Cressington into a brighter greener and more colourful place by placing new hand-decorated planters and containers around the area.

School pupils, parents and local councillors worked alongside volunteers from                              Long Lane church, Rotters Community Composting and the South Liverpool                                 Neighbourhood team to plant up the containers

Artist Andrew Hopper from the Four corners community arts project and Rotters helped             design the artwork for the planters. The plants have been generously donated  by                 Dobbies  Garden Centre Speke.

Themes for the design were the Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
